Built in 1988, Heritage Oaks Hospital is a private, fully accredited 72-bed acute psychiatric facility offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults and senior adults.  Heritage Oaks also has a satellite partial hospitalization program (PHP) to provide additional capacity in a different setting than the program on campus. The two programs combine to show an overall increase in the number of outpatients being treated either after an inpatient stay or in an effort to avoid hospitalization.

Services/Programs

• Clinical team is composed of nine full-time psychiatrists (five child and adolescent psychiatrists, a board-certified geriatric psychiatrist, a family practice physician and an internal medicine physician)
• Free assessment and referral services by appointment 24 hours a day, seven days a week
• PHP is designed as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization and offers all of the program intensity of acute inpatient care without having to stay overnight in the hospital
• The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides services to clients in need of further stabilization who do not require the structure of a full day treatment program
• The Outpatient Services Program (OPS) provides adjunctive treatment services that maintain a client's optimum functioning level on an outpatient basis
• Geriatric Treatment Services provide the full continuum of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for patients at least 65-years-old with primary psychiatric disorders
